Welcome to DTR, and yes I hated my stock headlights, hence, i got HID's. Fill out your signiture in the user cp page so we know what kinda truck you have and that will help with ideas to solve your problem.

Sorry guys, maybe I was a little vague. I live down here in central texas and have been a gen 1 owner for bout 4yrs. The ctd's are a 92 super le cc auto dually and a 93 le cc auto dually. Have had good luck for the most part other than the normal stuff. However I have had trouble finding A-arms, nobody seems to have any. Gotta run

Welcome!

Yeah fill out your signature so you can be helped out better by someone who may have had the same problem.

Don't be afraid to do a search on the subject, as there is usually a thread about almost anything you can think of of here.

Sounds like bad bulbs or a ground issue, IMO, though.

Check the sticky thread on the 1st gen board for info on putting the headlights on relays - makes a world of difference. Using the stock wiring my truck had 12 volts at the lights with the engine running. With the relays that went up to 14 volts.

Relays would be a lot better, thanks for the tip. Something else that snuck up on me little bit ago. Light switch off-running lights on bed on.?.? Light switch on-running lights on bed off. I was under dash today sorting thru cruise cont problems when I noticed this. Sometimes they flicker, sometimes they don't do squat. I did keep twisting fusebox up outta my face, may have put to much of a bind somethin or other
