Welcome, welcome. Getting to know your truck is kinda like a reverse 12-step program. First thing ya gotta do is set aside several hours a day to read the threads that pertain to the basics. Then sat aside a few hours a day to read all the high-performance threads. Next, set aside a monthly allotment from your paycheck and get ready to actually do what you've seen in all the threads you just finished reading

Thanks for the warm welcom.

I bought the truck used and it has had some upgrades done to it befor i got it. I has a 4" Lift 35" tires, Cold air intake, Bully dog out look program, 5" exhaust form the turbo back. Dont konw much about the Bully dog system because i dont have a manual. But i am getting the hang of it. I was told that i can double stack programs with the out look system. Does anyone know if that is correct? I will get some pics of the truck up so everyone can get a look at what i am working with...

I believe if it's just the Outlook monitor, it is only a gauge display.

If you were to purchase a BullyDog programmer, it will also serve as a way to make the programmer adjustable on the fly.

You can use any other type of programmer, and still use the Outlook monitor as your gauges, though.

On the out look there is a way for me to do 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times when i have it set on stock the truck does 0-60 in 30 seconds when i set it to extream it does 0-60 in 13.04 seconds and when i do the ftq and hourse power test 0-60 at stock it shows 250 hp and 310 ftq and on exteam it sows 320 hp and 400 ftq. So i dont konw if its all true because i havent found a dyno where i live... but since i can double stack programs on it what would be a ideal program to get the most hourse power and ftq..?? like i said i am new to all of this and dont want to spend a ton of money and get nothing...

Oh and whats is the smatry program i see a lot of people have them and havent found one on the internet. What are they and what do they do ?

Check out the Smarty products right here in the DTR store...

http://store.dieseltruckresource.com/smppoonde205.html

I'm not 100% sure what all the Outlook monitor can do, but the things you are talking about need to have a BullyDog programmer hooked up to them, I think.

BullyDog has good products as well, it seems like they don't update their programmers as much as the Smarty though.

Every truck reacts different to modifications, so do some reading in the 3rd generation high performance forum, ask about any questions you may have, and then enjoy finding out what works best for your truck.

Thanks for all your help and info. I have been looking at the smarty and the more i read about it the more i like it. I like the idea of just hooking up a cord to my computer and downloading a program then taking it to my truck and playing with it.
