Another new guy from PA

I just bought my first diesel and I'm lovin it. I always liked the G2 rams and I found one last week that was a one owner and only had 32000 on it and it cherry inside and out. Its a 2001 ext cab SB camper option with 4:10 gears. I already ordered a S&B intake kit for it and I was looking into an MBRP exhaust and a Superchips MAX MicroTuner. I wanted to see if there is anything else I should look into before I buy the exhaust and the tuner. I also wanted to know if anyone has tried this exhaust system before. Thanks

Welcome to the DTR.

I have used MBRP before, it's pretty good. I have a silverline now and like it too.

Guages!! You need them before you start heavy bombing!

you definitely need guages before you get a power adder, and in my opinion there are better power adders out there than superchips. do a search on the subject and you'll find a ton of info. where in pa are you from?

Thanks for the invite guys!

Not to sound to NEW here but which guages should I get for it? I will do some roaming on here and find some things out. I picked out the superchips because I just want to change the shift points and I don't want to do too much to it right now.

I'm from around Pottstown PA.

Howdy neighbor! I'm just down the road from you.

Fuel pressure gauge is a must on a 24 valve truck. Also get a pyrometer, boost gauge, and a trans temp gauge (if it's an auto).

x2 with what he said. once you start throwing some power at it, i'm sure an aftermarket lift pump will be in your not too distant future. when i had my 01, i hooked up and edge juice w/ attitude and saw that my Fuel pressure was dropping to 0 under moderate throttle. Bought myself a FASS and never had another problem. At least until i hit that huge telephone pole
