another new guy here

my name is John and I have a 07 6.7l Ram3500 Laramie Megacab, not a dually. I bought it in May of 07 and I have a little over 36K miles on it. It is my second dodge cummins, prior one was a 91 dodge that had almost 380K when I sold it.
I have had a few issues with the 6.7, but overall have been very happy with it. Majority of my issues had to do with a dealer service center that ended up not really having a clue how to figure out my problem and I finally took it to a different dealer who was able to diagnose and correct the problem, at least for now, of course only time will tell.
Main issue was after I hit 17K miles I started getting a wisp of blue smoke out of the passenger hood seam when I was stopped at a light, and it only happened once in awhile. They originally changed the EGR, checked for obvious leaks, drove it at 60 on a highway and said they could not detect any smoke. After at least four trips into the dealer I was getting just a bit frustrated with the truck. A buddy of mine who owns a shop got me to add the Edge with Attitude chip and then I noticed that it would smoke when it went through the regen sequence. Then i took it to a different shop and they figured out that my soot collector was clogged and ended up completely cleaning the exhaust system. So far, so good.
Anyway, glad to join a forum which seems to really be populated with very knowledgeable people, and looking forward to learning more about the 6.7 and doing a few more upgrades.

Welcome to the DTR!

There are plenty of great discussions here about the 6.7...

Search/ask around...

I heard of a few people havin' parts fall off their truck made them run better.
