Question yet another starting?

when ever i park my truck on the level or pointed up a slight grade i have to bump the starter to get the pump running for about 10-15 sec before it'll start on the first try. if i park it aimed down a hill or just a slight downward grade it'll fire up like it was new.

is there a check valve somewhere in the filter housing or in the line somewhere. i still have the stock pump on and my pressure is fine. i have the FASS II on my kitchen table but i didn't want to put it in untill i fix the current problem. oh yeah, it all started after i changed the fuel filter a while back. i've already . and i've since then changed the filter a couple of times since then

I assume you have done the normal preventive maintenance and replaced all your flexible fuel lines. If not, they develop microscopic air holes and allow the fuel to drain back to the tank. If you have done all four of those in recent times, then check the in-tank fuel pick-up tube. They eventually crack and develop a leak that will give the symptoms you describe.
