Will not turn over!!!
Will not turn over!!!
My wife went to the Post Office this AM to get mail.
The truck started fine when she left and when she made a quick start here in the park.
She got to the post office, shut it down and when she got back in, it will not turn over.
I heard the pump run this AM when she first started.
I found one neg batt cable a little loose and even jumped it with another batt.
It will make a faint click down on the drivers side of the motor, but that's it!!!
Any ideas?
I pulled the XZT to see if that was it.
Looked at the wireing for the Genos Turbo Timer, and it all seems goood other that the guy who put the Prodigy in ziped the wires to the ones on the Timer. No tention on any of it to pull wires.
My Wife did adjust the sterring colum, but that was when she first got in the truck......
Now what???
Thanks in advance.

Well,
I went to the Post Office to take apart the dash to look at the Turbo Timer....I look at the fuses first.
I pulled and checked then all. They were good.
I then decided to disconnect the batt. I did this for a couple minutes and put it back togeather.
Fired right up!
Shut it down and tried it again. No problem, but the Check Engine light is on...
Drove it to the RV park, picked up my Wife, went back to get the work rental and shut it off just to try one more time.
THIS time, it cranked, studdered, and cranked again. Still have a CEL.
It's back sitting in front of our rig now.
Can anyone tell me how to get the code? I thought there was a way to do so.
Still not sure what the studder was/is or if it willl fire up.
I'm tempted to take it to the dealer this PM and drop it off for them to mess with.
I'm supposed to head cross country this week, and now Mama is leary of the trk. (this is thanks to the 03 6.0 PSD/POS we had and the probs that cropped up with it)
Thanks for the help guys.

I checked the wire. It's against the bracket, not rubbed thru.
I do see what appears to be an old F%^D style starter relay mounted to the pass side batt.
I did a search and with the on/off/on/off/on and many combos there of, have not otten any code to show, but it has started when tried.
This is kinda frustrating...

I would try disconnecting the ground cables from both batterys for 3 minutes then reconnect them with key off. Try to start engine, been having problems with electrostatic discharge into WCM causing a no start or no crank condition. Good Luck TSB:08-007-08 Applies to vehicles built before Nov, 30 2007.

P0513-SKIM INVALID KEY ERROR
P0193-FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO HIGH
P0237-MAP SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO LOw
Most likely wireless control module is bad, suggest going to dealership for replacement. Refer to tsb: 08-007-08

Most likely wireless control module is bad, suggest going to dealership for replacement. Refer to tsb: 08-007-08
P0237 is MAP sensor voltage is too low.
P0193 is Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor is too high.
p0513 is an incorrect Immobilizer Key.
It is all related to the Wireless Control Module being subjected to electrostatic discharge.
The fix is to have a dealer follow the REPAIR PROCEDURE in the TSB_08-007-08
1. Replace the WCM/SKREEM.
Refer to TechCONNECT for detailed service information.
From the Service Info tab select: 8 - Electrical > Vehicle Theft Security - Service Information > Module, Sentry Key Remote Entry > Removal and Installation.
NOTE: After a WCM/SKREEM is replaced, the ignition/transponder keys need to be programmed to a new WCM/SKREEM. Follow the directions on the
StarSCAN®. The transponder key for the SKREEM/WCM and the RKE will be
programmed during this operation. There is no need to program the fob of
the key for RKE functionality once the transponder key is programmed to the
new WCM/SKREEM.
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
I would print this and take it with you to the dealer in the event you get the deaf ear treatment.
