Where is the bleeder screw?

hi, I'm trying to prime my fuel filter, and in searching the posts, I see advice to crack the bleeder valve on the filter. I'm not sure which one that would be. On my fuel filter I see three bolts on top. Two are banjos. one I guess is going to the pump, the other, not sure?? the other is a nut that I'm guessing is holding the filter on. Any help on locating this bleeder screw is greatly appreciated. Here's two pictures of my filter in case this helps.

It appears you do not have a test port on that filter housing. The 99's have plugged test ports in those 2 bosses toward the left side of the housing. I'd just loosen the banjo bolt for the line going to the injector pump. You may even want to loosen it at the injector pump to bleed that lien out also.

Chris, many thanks for the reply, can you tell me why there are two banjos? As you said one goes the the injector, but I can't tell where the other one goes.

Wrap a rag around the banjo before you prime. Its a bloodbath.

The bleeder is the 10mm bolt plug in the middle of the banjo bolt going to the pump. It was visible in your first photo. That small screw is drilled and ported for bleeding the fuel/air out. Just back off that small screw a few turns and watch for fuel. After you get fuel out of the bleeder, close it and continue to pump the lift pump for another 20 or so pumps to prime the line to the injection pump.

The other banjo bolt connection is for the line from your lift pump. That is why the bleeder is on the outlet of the fuel filter canister. For priming..

I was mistaken, the bleed screw is not 10mm, more like 8 or something that I can't recall right now.. Anyhow its the small screw in the middle of the banjo bolt..

I got it, as Lil Dog said, it was the little screw on top of the left banjo in the picture (you were right the first time, it took a 10mm socket). Thanks for the help, runs like a champ again.
