Weird grid cycle today...

Weird grid cycle today...

Started up just fine, but sat at 8v for like 8 seconds until it went up to 14...

Anything going on here?

Was it a cool morning? They will kick in at 59 degrees. It was in the low 60's here this morning.

It does take a little time for the alternator to build up an electric field and start charging.

Actually, it takes a few seconds after initial startup for the HIGH amp draw grid heaters to cycle off and let the alternator recover.
