water in fuel

water in fuel

I went through the automatic carwash tonight and right after I left the wif light came on. Is there anyway I could have got water I the system by washing it ?

Drive on !

Alot of times when you go through a car wash or spray under the hood with water the WIF will come on.
It picks up enough moisture from the water around the sensor to set it off.
If you want to be sure pull up on the drain and catch it a clear glass bottle and look at it.
If there is water you will see it.
But I would bet a dollar to a doughnut it's just the car wash.
As soon as you drive it awhile and it heats up under the hood it will dry it out and WIF will go out.

I agree,and will bet a the dollar to doughnut too!! you can take some air to it or just let it dry,like bulthis said drain some and look at it,goodluck Rick
