wastegate?

wastegate?

i just finished putting another engine in my 96 and can not figure out what the wastegate line hooks up to. what will hapen if i leave it unplugged? THANKS

You will lose boost if left open..Plug the end of the pipe.

On my 97 Ram, the hose went from the wastegate to a metal line that ran over the engine(actually just under the cover on the engine) to another hose that the connected to a "T" fitting on the back of the afc cover. The "T" fitting also had a boost line running from the intake manifold to it. I just finished relocating the wastegate connections and eliminated that metal line and it's connection to the "T" fitting. So now it goes from the wastegate to the turbo (just next to the ID tag). I drill & tapped it for a boost control elbow from TST. I then just pluged the connection at the "T" fitting with a hose, bolt and clamp for the time being until I get the time to eliminate the "T" fitting too. So, why not just do what I did.
