front differential
both front axle seals on my 95 4x4 2500 leaking so pulled both hub and axle assemblies but seal is way inside axle shaft ,what now? and when i look down rh axle shaft looks like a spline coupler floating around ,what do i do any help appreciated .thanx Ken

If you pop off the CAD cover and pull the axle stub on the passenger side you can replace that seal with a seal driver or home-made setup like allthread and a socket. The other side unfortunately looks like it needs the gears to come out so you can get access to the seal. Youd need a case spreader tool to do that, theyre an interference fit.
Before you go to this extreme, Id drain all the oil out, clean everythign good especially get any leftover oil out of the axle tubes and re-fill up to 3/4" from the hole. Might be good to check your vent hose is not obstructed too.
Its easy to overfill or get oil in the tubes and mistake that for bad seals.

YEP- Kawi is right!! I had Schwabb align mine and they went into the bearings. When they were done, I had a leak from the d/s and went back to whine- he told me when they pull the axle out, a little oil gets past the seal and to wait a couple of days to see if it stops. It did. bruce
