Id have to agree...send the injectors to Formula One and bomb the truck the way you want. We all know that with most dealers the warranty really isnt worth the paper its printed on.

What do you mean the dealer won't let you drive it? Is the dealer making the payments? It's theft if they won't release your truck, unless you owe a bill. You can go get it any time you want. You can take it anywhere you want to have it repaired.

If I drive it away they say my warranty will be voided, unless the problem is fixed by a factory authorized dealer.

I have the same junk in my filter canister. Not as much but a little bit. Yes, the filter design on this is not that good in my opinion either. Where else do they think any sediment is going to go. Of coarse, in the bottom of the canister. The thing is, it didn't go through the fitler so it ended up in the bottom of the canister, not going to the injectors. I have it in the bottom every time I change my filter but not that bad.

Be aware that the dealer does not have the power to void your warranty! It takes a Dodge district manager to do that, they will not void the warranty but restrict it to a particular system,ie fuel.

Are they the only place on the planet that does warranty work? What if you just want to take it home and park it till you save up some $$$? Does that void the warranty too?

All this just seems odd becsuse they are saying if you pay them they will keep the warranty in place. A warranty means thye pick up the tab for the bill not you.

You really need to make a call to some folks higher up in the Dodge world. Are they offering to make your payments while they sit on it?

Talking about mold in fuel, you would think that jet fuel (which is basically diesel fuel) comes from reliable sources, it does and is stored in very controlled conditions. It's filtered to death at all stages yet mold still grows in the fuel tanks on the planes. The airlines add 1L of Biocide to each tank before refueling when mold is detected in the fuel tank sump drain samples, of course condensation is a much bigger issue on planes than on our trucks.

Just returned from the dealership, actually talked to the Service Manager. I was told the sample is void because the contamination had happened in the past who knows when. The contamination flag is raised because of all six injectors failing, the sediment in the bowl adds to the diagnosis.
If my truck is removed (even towed) from the dealership, he HAS to report it as leaving without being fixed. And he tells me they flag my truck with an void on engine warranty.
I asked to speak with the regional manager and have his name and number, and he is going to try and get Dodge to at least meet in the middle.
I asked if there was a petition or class action against Dodge with all of this "Industrial fuel" accusations and their **** poor filtration system. He said he was unaware of any. But he definitely wanted to start helping me.

Have to say that I hope you have better luck than i have had. I took my 05 dodge in to my local dealer in aug. Had a hole in exhaust manifold. after two weeks of waiting for an opening they took my truck in and snapped manifold bolts. Had to pull my head and send it in to be machined. Contacted dc lodged a complaint finally recieved my truck back the end of sept. Dove it less than two weeks and the rear main seal went out. took truck back to the same dealer they replaced rear main. picked up truck drove less than a mile and noticed knocking and excessive black smoke. took truck back to same dealer and they told me it was more than likely I would have to have a new engine and would have to wait 2-3 months to get it. Contacted dc again, they elevated my complaint twice told me they would work with me on suppling me something to drive while vehicle was in for service, said just had to have diagnosis from dealer that it was an engine. in the middle of nov. (after only having my vehicle two weeks since aug 10th), I finally found another dealer 150 miles away that would look at my truck. Went to dealer loaded my truck on a trailer and took it to other dealer. By the way also contacted sales manager at original dealership and asked if i could trade my 05 in on a new truck, was told after he spoke with the service manager they could not sit on a truck 2-3 months waiting for engine. Would be happy to sell me a new truck and when mine old truck came out of service I could sell it myself. ie two truck payments waiting to get engine.
took the 05 to the other dealership said they would have it back to me within a week and would deliver it 150 miles away. At that point I told them I would pick it up, and probly trade it in. They said no problem they took it in on trade that day. With the extra's I added to the 07 couldn't pick up new truck for a week. They had my 05 fixed in 2 day's just an (injector). 05 was sold before I picked up my 07. Salesman told me that the original dealer voided my warranty when I took truck off their lot their dealership was able to reacivate the original warranty. I will have to say that I was not exactly happy with the way everything was handled even with dc complaint department. Original dealer didn't suffer on bit from my complaint (other than losing 3 new tuck sales, one to my father one to my nephew and myself all bought new trucks from other dealer in Nov.)
I would say good luck and find another dealer.
