vacuum pump

i was wondering if anybody has ever had a pump go bad and actually pressurize the crankcase and blew large amounts of oil out the breather truck still runs fine no loss of power smoke etc im lost it builds alot of pressure in the valve cover area its a 01 24 valve by the way

Never heard of the pump going bad and causing the problem you describe but am certain if you have a vacuum leak it will pressurize the crankcase.
With no leaks the the vacuum pump doesn't exhaust air, with a leak it in effect becomes a compressor, exhausting into the crankcase.
