Vacuum line for
Vacuum line for
It is hotter than Hades here and my vents have gone screwy. My fan is blowing out of the vents on the top of the dash. It will not switch to any other setting. This wouldn't be a problem except I where contact lenses and this is drying them out real fast. Kinda sucks driving down the road and not being able to see!! Not to mention it drives me nuts to have something not working correctly.
There are 5 color coated lines going to the selector switch on the dash for Max A/C, Fresh A/C, Face, Feet, Split, and Defrost.
I can trace four of the five vacuum lines to three individual actuators. Two of them on the drivers side of the dog house and one way over by the passenger door.
I am assuming that the one line I can not trace (it disappears behind what I figure to be the heater core, blower fan, etc...) is the feed line for the dash mounted switch that changes all the vent settings.
Where does this thing feed from? Does it come out in the engine compartment? What does it hook to? I can't seem to find it on the other side of the firewall!! Does anyone have the service manual for this? Or has anyone else experienced this problem and managed to trace down that feed line?
