unclear about part name

unclear about part name
on the bottom of my steering gear...it connects to the pitman arm..i have a lil bit of play there but the pitman arm nut is tight(big nut..like 1 1/4..so there must be a seal in there that has disintegrated..what is it called?..no leak however
