Turbo Silencer Help

Hi, I posted on here before about where the turbo silencer is so I can remove it. I just want to make sure I removed the right piece. I removed a white plastic piece that has two channels for air to run through. Did I remove the right part? If not can you direct me on what I'm missing. I took this piece off of the air tube right before it goes into the turbo. Thanks for your help in advance.

Those are baffles in the tube that (I think) are there only to reduce sound. The silencer ring itself is held in the compressor inlet of the turbo by a snap ring. Here's with the silencer: http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/FAQ...s/silencer.jpg And without: http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/FAQ...ilencer-no.jpg

How do I go about removing the silencer ring? I tried with a screwdriver and it's on there pretty good.
So is it safe to remove the baffles then? I'm pretty new to diesel's so I don't want to mess anything up just make it run and sound better. Thanks.

ring

I used two small screwdrivers. The top part of the ring is easier to get the screwdriver abovr and pry down, take the second screwdriver and put it in and pry down, scoot over and pry more it will come right out.
