is my grid heater still cycling?

hey guys...its hot even up here lately...when im driving and idlign i can hear a "click" every 5-10 sec from under my hood drivers side (i think its drivers)..if im idlign at a light..the click is followed by a small change in the pitch if idling..not as pronounced as grid heater cycling in the winter but similar...what is it??

ps i recently blwe a hose to my power steering and it got alot of the drivers side motor all oily...could it be a dirty sensor?

thanx

Sounds like the A/C clutch cycling. Probably low on refrigerant.

The A/C clutch would be my guess also. To confirm, turn the A/C off and see if the noise goes away. If it does go away, then I would agree with wannadiesel that you are low on R134.

thanx guys....it was doing it when the AC was off already.i actually had the vent on a lil bit...but lateyl ive been fooling around with vacuum hoses disconnecting and reconnecting...i technically have AC on the truck but it was out of refrigerant...so i filled it and it leaked out in a week or its very low right now so for sure

anyways i turned the AC full blast for a min and then turned it to fan....and the clicking seems to have dissapeared like soem sort of reset was triggered...
