Truck will not turn over

Installed boost gauge on the steering column today. Drove the truck without any problems. Came home to clean up. After I got the tools cleaned up jumped in the truck and it will not even crank over. Tried to start it in all of the shifter positions and it did not help. The starter relay in the fuse box is clicking and all fuses test out OK. Starter wire is tight and voltage is good. All of the interior lights work as normal.

Just no cranking when turning the key to start.

HELP Please!!!

manual or auto?
sounds like a neutral safety switch.
and sometimes the solenoid contacts in the starter go out. there are upgraded contacts you can put in.

Does kind of sound like the NS switch, but in the column there are lots of wires. How much of the column did you pull apart doing the boost gauge? Did you have to fight/fiddle with any wires in the column as you were routing boost gauge-related hardware?
Ignition ON is normal, radio, gauges work, right?
