Truck stopped running

2007.5 dodge 3500 6.7

just driving down the road and the engine stopped ....
shut key off and tried to start ... nothing no click or anything..
checked all fuses .. all ok
all dash lights .. headlights... windows... radio ... all work ...
Tried hooking up to cheap scanner that had worked in the past .... does not recognize truck....
turned key and noticed fass fuel pump did not come on and still nothing....
Pushed truck into parking lot .... previously you could see what gear I was in on the dash (p,r,n,d) ..
then towed a block to my buddy's house ....
now there is no indication for what gear I'm in .....
Still no start or turn over or fuel pump ....

hooked up to a real scanner and it doesn't show anything out of the ordinary.....

I'm lost
hope for some help
thanks

What is the battery voltage on the battery posts? What is the battery voltage on the terminals?

If the fuel pump stopped working would that shut down the ignition on the truck?

Does the security light on the dash flash continuously with the key on? If it does, try a different key., and also check the wires going to the key reader built into the key switch bezel.

I would recommend finding someone who has a Dodge DRB Scanner and thoroughly check the entire system on your truck. If you don't know anyone that has a Dodge DRB Scanner from a Dodge Dealer, I would check some of the independent or diesel truck shops to see if they have one. With that handheld computer, you will be able to find what is going on Sir.

Thanks .... I wish we could go back and have vehicles that each system was on it's own and a regular person could fix things themselves
