Yea if anyone could help out it would be great.I have a 2004.5 600 that had a quadzillaxzillaraider chip on it for about 6-7 months and now my truck is getting where when you give it gas and let off it the rpm gauge will keep building up higher rpms and then it will slowly drop down,and the truck is having problems being started. My emission light hasnt come on and i took the chip off and its doing the same thing.Any advice would be helpful but the truck is going to the shop lateer this week but still would like to know something from you guys if i can fix it my self,but again Thanks for the help.

 

Possibly a leaking injector? When you take your foot off the go pedal it takes a few extra seconds for the engine to start slowing down? Rough running? Also could be symptoms of an injector going south, also could be rail pressure relief valve, lift pump, CP3 pump could even be a possability? Any codes, turn the key off then on 3 times leaving key on without starting and see if the odometer shows any codes. Definatly remove all traces of the Quad box including wiring harnesses unless you want your warranty voided prior to taking into the dealer.

If any codes show after the key off/on post the numbers so that someone can assist you in what might be wrong.

 

Hey thanks for the help. When i did the key thing a code of p0340 came on.Will that help out at all. Im hoping all the things that you have listed are going to be covered with warranty.If the code is helpful for anyone maybe they could help me out with what that means.Again thanks for the help.

 

Don't expect warranty if the dealer discovers you had fueling box on there.

 

The P0340 indicates a bad cam position sensor or related problem. If the sensor it will effect the running of the engine. Take it in to the dealer, mention that you did the key off/on thing and found code P0340 and truck is running very poorly. Let them take it from there. Make sure no traces of the Quad box are on the truck or even in the truck. Decals, wiring harnesses etc and hope for the best. I doubt that they will look for anything but if it stands out they might. Also while in the dealer they will update all flashes so if you don't want the horn honk lights flashing while in reverse with door open make sure and tell them you don't want that flash done, otherwise they will and it can't be reversed.

Again guys i want to thank you for the help i also picked up codes of P0652,P2269,and P0069. Im having trouble finding where you can search these codes and tells you what the problem is. The truck will be at the shop first thing in the morning. I unhooked all the wiring for the chip and the toggle switch and washed the black smoke from the finder and bumper and cleaned my 5" chrome tip to hide anything. not just unhook, remove all of it completely. they know where to look nowadays.

 

That and deny a chip was ever on it. On my 02 when my vp went south a dealer in blanco said it was my chip doing the trouble. When I said how did you no it was the chip, he said you just told me and wouldn't warrenty my truck, but the next dealer did.

 

Sounds like somehow someone tried to start with wired unplugged or a bad plug on the Quad box or something related. You have P2269-Water in fuel indicator/Drsin fuel filter or better yet drain and change filter. P0652 Sensor referance low ???? no ideas. P0069 Map sensor...again no suggestions other than it could be from the box. As above Don't admit anything when you take it in, don't even hint anything but change the fuel filter yourself about $15 for the filter and 5 nimutes work. Delaer gets $40 for the filter and 1/2 hour labor about $100 to have changed. If it can be proved you got bad fuel dealer will blame you for all the repairs.
