Help My dads truck Quit at an intersection It is a 99 2500 4x4 it has a fass fuel system on it new fuel filters with less than 500 miles on them the truck has a new injection pump with about 4800 miles on a new pump. the codes were pulled with a smarty box and are
P1693
P0251
P0252
P1682-old code never cleaned
P0177-hosed down engine and went away when dry.
The Truck was drove out here from Allentown PA yesterday and ran fine it is in Indianapolis IN started this morning and it stalled at an intersection ran to the next one and Quit. didnt make it 5 miles. not to familiar with the newer pumps I have all 12v trucks. is there a fix for this all the searches also have the 1688 code attached. Is this pump shot??

 

sounds like you have a bad vp44 injection pump

 

Yep - this is probably what it is. Has Cummins or Dodge ever offered goodwill replacement of these?
