Trouble hot starting

Hey all! I have been lurking here for some time, and decided to post today. You all seem to be very knowledgeable. So here is my issue.

When I start my truck in the morning it starts right up (after the WTS light goes off) even despite the 31 degree weather. Then when it gets hot, it takes 10-12 seconds to start. I have tried both ways, with waiting on the WTS light, and without it. But it usually takes a few seconds to start. I tried getting the key codes off the odometer, and the only I get is 0633... which is the SLIM key or something like that...

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, I would be grateful!

Oh wow... that was pretty ignorant... I thought I put that on there ><. It is a 2003 2500 4x4 6spd... Think that covers it :P.

Sorry, and thanks!

I'd start with the basics...

Is the fuel filter clean?

Do you hear the lift pump come on when the WTS light is on?

Not sure about the fuel filter... How hard is that to change... I got the truck with 86k on it... now I JUST put the 100,000th mile on it. The lift pump does come on when the WTS light is on. Maybe I will pick up a fuel filter... can I get one from Autozone?

Autozone...I don't know if they stock them or not.

You can probably get one from your local Dodge dealer or from Geno's.

If stock, it is a canister on the drivers side, under the hood, with a black cap and a yellow gas ****, with an 1-1/8" nut on the top.

Use the search option on the tool bar up top to find detailed instructions on how to replace it...very easy.

It's got at least 24k on it, so I would start there.
