Trans Cooler Leak

According to my local ***********, my trans cooler is leaking between the radiator and intercooler. They want $700 to replace the whole thing (which I don't have), it just dumped some fluid in my driveway after a 120 mile drive, and I got a huge road trip coming up.

Is there any way to diagnose whether it's just a line leak or maybe a connection leak? Please help me out here guys, I've already been gouged by the dealer when they replaced the radiator.

If its just the trans cooler thats leaking, cap the outlets on the radiator for it and replace it with an external cooler from a parts store

The trans cooler is mounted on the drivers side in front of the intercooler best way I can think of is to take some degreaser and clean it and the lines as good as possible and just look it over, if I remember right they hook together with quick connect fittings and sometimes the seals will go bad and you can get away with just replacing a few o-rings.

Thanks guys, I'll give it a shot. I talked to a radiator shop and they said they couldn't even get the part for 5 weeks.

Yup. This is what it was plus a hole in the actual trans cooler. After getting the trans cooler replaced, it still leaked at the quick connect fittings so I added some pipe clamps and that finally solved it.
