Tranny going out?
when i started out earlier this week my truck seemed like it was starting out in second or third gear. it also got worse as it got warmed up. i acutly can't start from a stop unless i put it in first gear.

Well there Josh join the club my trans started doing the same thing last week.It looks like we both need a rebuild but the question is do you have the 3500,to 4000 gees to cover it?

That sounds like the "limp" mode. Might be a bad sensor or loose connection. I would assume being a 2005 that warranty would take care of it.

2nd gear starts can be caused by a bad govenor pressure solenoid or sensor. These parts cost about $200 and are easy too replace. They bolt to valve body.

got it fixed. they replaced the whole valve body. $1800. under warrenty though . sorry i have not been able to get back. i was at the champ car races
