Sudden loss of power.

04 Dodge 2500. 80,000 miles. 37 degrees here this morning. Started just fine and went 2 miles down the road. Started bogging down when trying to accelerate. Acted like it was cold. Not blowing smoke of any kind. Made it back home but had to milk the gas pedal back and forth to maintain 5 mph. Any ideas.

Have you checked for codes yet? With the ignition key in the off position you turn it quickly to the run position. Then back to off, back to run, back to off, back to run. Watch the odometer read out for codes.

No I haven't. Had to grab the wife's car and go to work. I get off at 3 and that's the first thing I'll do. It did this a couple of days ago but it was never this bad. I could maintain 55mph or so. Today I barely was able to maintain 5 mph. In neutral the engine will rev up but in gear barely anything.

Faulty MAP Sensor maybe...could be high/low voltage with could also be caused by corrosion.

Error Code

Replaced the Fuel Filter, made sure the wires near the AC were not shorted and I've got a P0191 code.

That would be:

P0191 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Performance

Sorry I can't help you though, I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to CR's.

If it was the F.F (and that would be my atemt for 1st fix) would it not cause that code ??

I think you need to try it, probably maybe is fixed ?
