Stranded by Seymour truck died
Cruising in my buddys truck going to hunting lease and truck hesitated like as if it were starving for fuel then died and won't start, just had a new lift pump and tps sensor about two weeks ago.
What can I do?
What can I do?
Any gauges?
Could be as simple as a clogged fuel filter blocking fuel flow. Possibly a bad lift pump. How long since the last fill-up?
If the wrecker driver suggested pump or turbo, I'm guessing he's guessing as well. Not very likely the turbo will cause a no start condition.

Not trying to hijack a thread, but Seymour Texas was once home to a very large Fairbanks Morse two cycle diesel engine that ran nonstop for about 50 years, turning a generator that supplied power to the entire town and surrounding community.

I think it's about the 9th picture in the series that the link is for. I've seen this engine run several times now. It has had only minor maintenance done throughout the years. They crank it using compressed air to get it turning over, then they put the fuel to it and away it goes. It has a very unique sound to it. When it begins to fire, it will shoot very large gray smoke rings into the sky. This year, we stood back a bit, because you will notice later little oil and soot droplets all over you. We we're sitting on a very large antique dozer. and every time a cylinder would hit, the dozer would shake.
This year, they had to replace the FACTORY leather reed valves to make it breath a little better into the crankcase. it runs just like a chainsaw engine, only a whole lot slower.
