stranded & need info

I have an 06 2500 with 143k. Huge plumes of white smoke and my turbo started squeeling. The white smoke is burning oil and i have a larger amount of blowby coming out of the oil fill and with the cap on i have a steady amount coming out of the crank case vent tube. I took the intake hose off and my turbo wiggles qtr inch and is finished. Is it normal to have that much blowby coming out the truck with a blown turbo or do you guys think i might have sucked some metal in the motor. The motor still has plenty of oil and runs smooth with no sounds at idle other than blowby and smoke from the tailpipe. Second question: If it is just a turbo i need to get it going asap and i need a bulletproof turbo for heavy towing and what kind would you guys recommend. I have a bd td programmer and thats it. Something reasonable priced would be great or best bang for the buck.

I can't help you with recommendations for a new turbo but I will say that with that amount of play in the turbo shaft, the bearings are shot and the seal is leaking oil into the intake, which is the cause of the smoke.

your turbo is shot . if your lucky you didnt suck anything into the motor . . if your sucking oil into the motor you need to clean everything on the intake side. i wouldnt run it at all tilll its clean

If you're looking for a new replacement, call HTT, they have some good customer service, and I have had good luck with them.

I'm not sure, but I think that they rebuild stockers, too.

I also would not run it until you get this taken care of. Good luck...
