yes, that is included.

(Old military), R&R was rest and recuperation

Is there any type defect that a head could have that could cause an engine to run hot? this is the same head i had on the first engine and had to replace a head gasket 15000 miles after the second engine was installed.
Really need to get to the bottom of this overheating thing so i don't do it again.

Haulin' in Dixie blew 2 HG's and roached a motor due to a bum thermostat. Has that been replaced?

Bill never saw any signs of overheating on the gauge. That's why he blew up so much stuff over a simple little part. If I recall correctly, it wasn't blocking the bypass so the flow was screwed up.

Called and told them to put new thermostat in.
Heading for west coast (Wa) in the morning with my 03' . Built this wind deflector on my goosneck today in hopes it would put a little less drag on it

Did the spring cleaning thing today. Used some turtle wax (black) ,also had a black stick tube with it to fill in scrathes. Pretty impressed how well it worked

I'm impressed, too, Herb. That's a sharp-looking truck.

And applicable to the subject of this thread, I was stranded in Madison, GA, too, for a very long time. Back then, it was called being a teenager. I was a teenager when I got out, too, but I still call it home. All in all, it's not a bad place to be, but it's a better place to be from.

Just did close to (or mabe over ) 5000 miles with the 03 and went fine (averages right at 10 mpg. )
Leaving for California next weekend with it.

The 01 is supposed top be done this week, son has a delivery to SC and Ga with it , fingers are crossed.
Thinking seriously about trading it for another 3rd gen.

Herb, don't scare me like that. I saw you posted on this thread and I thought it broke down again. I think Haulin' in Dixie's bad luck gremlin found a new home.

Had it rebuilt by Cummins. Bored, pistons ,rings bla bla bla 6500 dollars . Son is down near Madison Ga and broke down again !!
This truck runs like a stiped a-- ape, couldn't beleive the way it ran when we got it back.
Took a 4 seat surry to Texas with a 16 foot flatbed the week after we got it back and swung thru Dover MD to bring grand daughter back for grandsons graduation. No problems.
Left Wed for Ga and SC with two Quail hunting wagons and the 46 foot gooseneck and "bingo" , down again. Blew the intercooler tube on the drivers side. Havent been able to locate one yet so we are limping along with a Duct tape repair job on this one.
Called Dodge and they get 90.00 for that thing !! piece of rubber about 5" long. Been trying to find aftermarket part but had no luck yet.

From Piers web site:

PDR111202-K 2nd Gen. Intercooler Boot kit - Performance grade
( see product page for full desc.)
$210.00

PDR111202S-K 2nd Gen. Intercooler Boot kit - Deluxe grade
$220.00

PDR111202 Lower Intercooler boot - boot fits left or right
$65.00

I'm sure that other vendors may have something similar. Good luck on the duct tape.

Have you seen the cost of the intercooler boots from dodge? They are $155/boot for the lower ones.
