What year is the truck?
What lead you to replace the lift pump?
Did you see low pressure, or did the truck not start?

I didn't recognize the CPL numbers as older stuff, so mainly I was assuming it by the build dates. It is entirely possible that the 235 horse engine is the older style, but not from a Dodge. I assumed that the 250 horse engine was the Standard Output model Dodge offered in California in 03. Sorry if I led you astray.

i am really beginning to think i am expecting too much out of these trucks.
not that heavy but a lot of wind resistance.

I would tend to agree with you. The fueling boxes make them more fun to drive, but these things aren't mules. They will pull hard enough to hurt themselves. Run 'em without any fueling boxes and I believe they will give you good service.

all i have is the small Edge box. Without it the truck doesn't have the power to pull the trailer

That doesn't sound bad at all. Does it include R&R or is that extra?

R&R ???

Spoke to Channing at Geno's about the pyro and gauge (Isspro) and he directed me directly to Isspro in Portland Oregan.
Isspro said to send them the gauge and pyro and they would check it for accuracy.
I have already told them melted down two engines so most likley they will find the gauge and pyro ok.
Anywhere else i could send to have them checked?

R&R = Remove and Replace. Is pulling the engine and putting it back in the truck included in the figure you gave?
