starts & shuts off

Please Help. I Put A New Lift Pump & Filter In. Now Truck Runs For About 3 Sec's And Shuts Off. Restart And Turn Over For About 10 Sec's And It Fires Right Up And Runs Fine. Confused About What To Look At Now. its a 1999 ext cab 2500 4x4 sb

Did you purge all the air from the fuel lines and filter after the pump/filter change?


Fill out your Sig (under User CP - top left) and put what year truck, trans, etc, so those wanting to help, will know what you're messing with.

Fuel Pressure test ?
Before any parts .
If the lift pump went out then it may have damaged the VPump .

Sounds like you didn't seal up the filter lid or something just right, and is letting air in. I would double check everything that you loosened up and make sure it is sealed good.
