Power shuts off. Stalling. HELP

I have a 1993 CTD and the truck keeps shutting off. Usually it will not stall. If I get out of the throttle and coast for about 3-5 seconds it comes back to life. Other times it will not and I actually have to put it in neutral (then it stalls) and then I simply restart it and it comes back to life. I changed the fuel filter about 5000 miles back. I drained the filter on this last trip and saw no water. I know I need to change the filer again ;D, but I don't think this has anything to do with the problem. I know about the wires on the pump as far as which one will 'Kill" it. The wire on the solinoid thing below the pump( I think it has something to do with cold starts?) it was loose. I recrimped it and no change. Still stalls or cuts off power.
Do I need my injection pump rebuilt? I put a new fuel pump on about 4000 miles back too.

Its like it runs out of fuel pressure???
Also I have over heating. I had the system flushed and new thermostat installed ($158) still over heats! Should I just buy a new radiator? Could all my problems be timing related???

Thanks, Steve

I would change the filter before I did anything else.

Re:Power shuts off. Stalling. HELP

There are two wires on the fuel shutoff solenoid that are a problem area. I would put new connectors on them first then try it. Also I would do the same thing to the KSB. The fuel shut off solenoid is the one in the back of the pump and the KSB is on the outside of the pump. If that doesn't solve your problem you might have a bad fuel shut off solenoid. Try the easy fix first. You can remove and gut the fuel shutoff sol. but the you will have to manually shut down the pump. If you gut the fuel shutoff sol. and that solves your problem you can then replace the sol. BTW the fuel shutoff sol. is not a fun job. Good luck
