Squeling Noise Please Help

I have a 06 drw with 6 speed and 4x4 with 25k . I was hauling my 3 horse trl. at about 3000 rpm and started hearing a squeling noise coming and fadding out. Dodge said it was the clutch and changed but i still hear the noise. I happens when i hold it at 65 or 70 and keep it there for awhile. It almost sounds like a bearing going out. Please help guys. Seeams like you all know you stuff Thanks

How many miles? Did the dealer put a new belt on or use the old one? If the belt is old and glazed over it will squeel pretty bad. I thought my Alternator was going out, but was told to change the belt, and it's been fine since.

Good luck

The belts probably a good place to start. I had some squealing noises a while ago and thought I had a bad pulley or something but I got a new belt and the noise went away. If that doesnt fix your problem then at least you have a spare belt on hand. Good Luck

Could that be the belt tensioner? Seems pretty new for that to be happening but it might be.

It's not common, but maybe the A/C compressor was starting to seize up, and was squealing the belt as it cycled in and out.

As you have a std trans the problem is not RPM related it's as you say speed related. First ck the oil in the transfer case, the oil qty is so small just a small leak will cause you trouble, also the rear axle oil qty. Next wheel bearings then rear drive shaft hangar bearing. Two long shots would be a vacuum leak (they sure do squeal) or the clutch fan hub bearing.

I just had the problem today. It was my a/c compressor.

Ended up buying a belt for a no AC truck. Now my a/c compressor is not connected and no squeel, waiting for warm weather to look into it.
