speed sensor

speed sensor

I have a 1995 dodge ram 3500 drw auto 4x2 what I am having trubble with is putting in a new speed sensoe and gear I know it has to be clocked so thats the ? I have a 38 tooth gear so I dont know what points line up to clock the gear right the last owner had the wrong set up and it was apart when I got the truck so HELP

Ok I have a 38 tooth gear I know it goes in clocked I know the hold down / forks help index the housing i know that the numbers on the housing are in line with the slots on the housing.
what I dont know is do the numbers for my gear (36-38) go in the top or the bottom fork.

Any help would be a big help
