I have one for the books. I have an 01 quad 4x4 stick, and when I go around left turns and under a load in fourth gear especially it smokes blue and runs really ruff. sputtering and coughing, almost like it is not getting enough fuel. If anyone has any ideas please help

 

Checked the motor mounts?
Does this only happen at less than 1/2 tank showing on the fuel gauge?

 

the fuel guage is always on e it has started happening more in the last two weeks and got real bad in the last day. It wont turn up to 3000 rpm under a load and it sputters and blows blue smoke around left corners. I have no idea how to go about investigating this one. Please help.

 

What is your fuel pressure while running?
When was the fuel filter last changed?
It sounds like a fuel starvation trouble.
It might be a toasted Lift Pump. (A VERY common problem)

 

Just wanted you to know I got it figured out. I had a pinched fuel line in the back of the truck. Never had that one happen b4. Thanks again for all your help and replys... let me know if I can ever return the favor..

Which fuel line?...What pinched it?....Why only on left turns?
Details,....We need details......
That's the first tiem I can remember a piched line near the tank being the cause of a rough running problem.
