Return fuel line and trans

I have a 1996 ram 2500 cummins with 250k and just replaced the 3/8 fuel line which I got from the dealer, I was looking to replace the 5/16 return from the sender unit to the fuel filter, but dodge is telling me there is no listing(which I find hard to believe) Would anyone know of a place to get this line as mine looks to be on it's way out very soon!

Also is there a cable for the trans to adjust shift points, mine seems to hold each gear unless I let off the pedal. Anything over 2000 rpm from a dead stop and startup, it will not shift out of gear unless I let up on the gas pedal.

Thanks
Rod

It is called the TV cable or throttle vacuum cable. It is adjustable at the pump end, but I usually see the problem under the truck at the linkage on the trans. They get real dirty or bent and bind. First place I would check. As for the 5/16 line, I don't know. but I'll go look.

As for the line, Is it the hose right next to the fuel supply line with quick disconnects on either end?

Yes, if you are looking at the top of the sending unit on the drivers side it is the smaller quick disconnect line to the left! That line goes all the way to the filter and has a steel braided flex line factory attached to it.

Do a search in the 12 valve forum on "fuel line replacement" and read about the options of simply abandoning the original lines and replacing with diesel rated hose from the tank to the engine... seems like the way to go, simpler (and cheaper I would imagine) than buying dealer replacements.
