REAL QUICK! (and stupid) Swapping Batteries...

Can I just pull 'em both and replace, or is there some special diesel only trick that I have to do?

I just unhooked both of mine, took the old ones out and put the new ones in.

This is minor, but unhook both negatives first and rehook both negatives last. It is just a safety thing so you do not have live positive cables swinging around.

When I did mine, I unhooked one, changed it, then did the other. Then I never lost my radio presets and other memory stuff

Did it hurt anything, no...could it, maybe?

Just need to be sure while doing it "one battery at a time", that the positive cable end that is disconnected doesn't come in contact with the pickup, or there will be lots of sparks.......

Yeah...that's always bad. I've even dropped wrenches on them, and they landed just in the wrong place to touch the fender and pos post

That wrench is hot for a minute afterwards

Thats how I did it when I changed my betteries. Whenever I took off a positive cable I immediatly put it inside a leather glove so it wouldn't touch anything and ground out.
