quick question

My front axle is leaking differential fluid from the axle, is it ok to drive? would like to drive it about 40 miles one-way will be able to take it easy. What do you guys think?? I just replaced my ball joint on passenger side and i guess i damaged the axle seal.Great. Any help appreciated.

1) Check the fluid before you leave
2) Unlock the front hubs
3) Do not use 4wd
4) Check fluid when you get to where you are going

If the front hubs are unlocked, yoiu should be spinning the front axle a VERY minimal amout; mostly due to friction.

Oh, how bad and where is the leak?

HTH

Its coming from the intermediate shaft seal on passenger side. My 4wd wont engage, i haven't had a chance to check the vacuum lines yet. It is not leaking very much right now best i can tell. Thanks i appreciate the info.
