Quick DTT question for those with Race setup

What RPM does you rtranny shift into OD? When Im going through third it hangs it out to about 3200 maybe 3300 RPM before shifting and its like its struggling to shift like the truck is using every and I mean every bit of 3rd before shifting to 4th so my question is should I have it adjusted to shift sooner into 4th? Its only under a WOT run that is hold the shift just in my opinion its holding it to long.

If it is waiting that long to shift you had better have your comp box reprogrammed to a drag comp. $125.00

Well it may not help the holding shift but it will definately keep pulling up there.

I'm willing to bet it will make it slightly worse......prolly shift 3300 to 3400rpm.......... when you are on 5x5 and adding the heavy fuel.

Any takers?

Re:Quick DTT question for those with Race setup

When I installed my tranny I had the same symptoms. I did an APPS recalibration and immediately afterwards let the truck accelerate at WOT several times.(engine was warm of course).
The first time the engine revved to 3200 at WOT and stayeed there for some seconds before going to O/D. When I tried it again the time the engine sat at 3200 gradually got shorter, now my 3-OD shift is at 3100 rpm. It seems to me that the ECM "learned" hte new characteristics.

Just my observation..

AlpineRAM
