pulled a 0230 code today
i had a wire connection come loose on my new holly blue.. i guess late nights are not the best time to do things. it only ran w/o pressure for 10 seconds till i caught it.. shut it down .. this morning on my way to breakfast light came on .. after brerakfast it went off. now its back on .. i hope its just a fluke.
what am i looking at if i need to fix something.. and no replies of injector pumps will be accepted!!
i can pull codes on monday . but dont want to drive if it will make things worse
other code was a 1693
thanx

Both the codes you list are fuel communication circuit related. The 230 in conjunction with any 16xx code means the injection pump is not seeing a corresponding response from the transfer pump, which really means it is not responding to fuel delivery demands and the system is generating error codes enough to set an alarm condition. Any 16xx on the diesel means that the injection pump processor itself is not receiving anticipated responses from the PCM, and that can be bus failure, lift pump failure, or injection pump failure. It is unlikely the PCM failed, or you would also see several 2xxx error codes.
What you want to do is have a proprietary dealer diagnostic scan and look for companion codes that will narrow the search for the problem. But, that is necessary only if the light keeps turning on.
