part # for fuel filler hose please??

the steel tubes from my gas cap to the tank have a pin hole leak somewhere in them and are very rusty....the leak is right near the top...not near the tank....just looking for the part number cause the NAPA search for "fuel filler" shows me a short little straight rubber hose for 15$ i dont think thats what im looking for....maybe i need a different name for it?

thanks,

Drew

must this part even be metal? won't rubber be fine? or will the diesel fuel eat away at the rubber?...

what im saying is....its obviously not a rocket science part...it serves no prupose except a passageway for the fuel to get to the tank when ur filling up

um, well i dont think all rubber because when you rest the nozzel at a fuel station in your filler neck, the weight of the hose/nozzel would probably kink the rubber hose.

your best bet is a salvage yard down south.

Just call your dealer and get a price. They will tell you what it's called, and the part #.

im going to the junk yard and getting something that matches up...i would use some 2 min tank sealer if i knew it would stick to the rust ..its a pin hole somewhere on the first bend up near the filler cap...like 6 inches down....i get a drip every 10 sec from it when i fill up....its obviously just gonna get bigger and air is gonna get into the system if the truck sits too long

if you just have a pin hole, take it off, grind it around the hole and weld her up with a mig welder. easy fix.
