Bad brake switch will also prevent lockup but your cruise won't work either.
Brake lights may work though, two different sets of contacts.

Be careful with volt meter probes on the PCM connector.
The female connectors are cheap, break and enlarge easily causing more and more problems.

Yea but if it was a brake light switch then when I switched the pcm with one from a friends truck the problems with the trans temp readings would not have gone away right? The crazy part is when the trans temp was 14663 the sensor voltage was 2.46 and when I swapped the pcm the temp was 54 and the sensor voltage was 2.46. The pcm must be seeing the wrong things it must be confused. The cruise does not work but when you turn it on the light doesnt light up or anything and the horn dosent work either I think the clock spring is bad.
