i lent my sister my truck( 07/5.9 ) to haul her trailer home from the lake. she got it home but on the way to my house she ran it out of fuel! i changed the fuel filter and filled it with diesel, and put 5 gal in the tank. can i just try to start it? if i just turn the key on with out starting, will it circulate fuel to the coman rail and purge all air? then just fire it up? i realy dont want to cook my cp3 help help help!!!

If you turn your key on, let the LP run a bit (20 seconds I think), then bump the engine to restart the LP for another bit. Do this 2 or 3 times and it should have the fuel to the CP3 and start up pretty quickly.
