Fuel systems installed...running out of fuel at half tank
Fuel systems installed...running out of fuel at half tank
So I had my local shop install Glacier fuel system, and I have to refill at half a tank. Going around corners at half a tank the fuel pressure goes right to zero. Is it usually this bad or should I have my shop fix this?
When I installed my fuel system, I ran my pickup tube to the bottom of the tank and cut two slits in the line. I have ran my guage down past E, and have never had any problems out of it. They may have the draw tube too far up.
You are not the only one with this problem though.

Have the shop fix it...they need to either pull the bed to fit the draw strw....or drop the tank and support it off the ground (similiar to how it's supported mounted in the truck)....if they just pulled the tank, rested it on the ground and fit the draw straw....when it was mounted, it'll sag and you'll gain quite a gap between the ds and the bottom of the tank....
Mine will do what your saying if i have a sudden stop....but only at 1/8 tank or less...and i can get it down to 50mi to empty before i get worried.
