My mom's truck always had (and still has) a really clean engine (internally- externally, it looks like the Exxon Valdez sailed over it). Takes 1500mi to even change color. I changed it every 5K the year I had it. She has done every 3-4K the last 6 years.

The trucks I've gotten with <170K/ easier workloads seem to be a lot cleaner than the ones with 250K+ (last 4 I've had) tha tled harder lives.

Chris, how far into KS is Carbondale? I will be going to Heartland Horseshoeing School in either March or May.

havent heard of that school... wheres it at?BTW looking for a new farrier, mines retiring..
