97 3500 oil pressure sending unit started showing flucuating pressure then quit and started leaking oil out the end where the plug goes.The part boy at the dealer said this often happens but no one who mentioned bad sending units on the board mentioned theirs leaking.Is this normal?Thanks easye

 

I've seen many oil pressure sending units on many different brands of vehicles leak oil when they go bad.

 

Thanks was looking at in the rain at 5:00 am just wanted to make sure I wasn't seeing things.easye
