Unhappy Oil Leak!!!

Hey guys,

I just discovered an oil leak from the front end of my truck. I lost approx. 4 quarts of oil. I don't know when it started but the truck has not shown an oil puddle. I have left it parked for several days at a time and no puddle. Being a neophyte, could you guys give me some ideas of what this could be and potential costs for this? Thanks.

I'm not sure this info is necessary BUT, I just had my injector pump replaced last month and the lp replaced too. Dealership had trouble pinpointing the problem. Could an improper install cause this oil leak? Also the day I picked up the truck I burned through almost an entire tank of diesel, I took it back to find out that a fitting had not been tightened all the way down. Hope this helps.

might be fuel in the oil, u probably didnt burn the fuel it got pushed into the engine oil. i would smell the dipstick for diesel in it. if so driving around with that will toast the engine fast.

I dropped the truck back off at the dealership. Once I saw the oil leak, it was pretty consistent dripping. I will let you know what happens. Thanks for the insight.
