now i got MORE PROBLEMS CODE 1682

i have had nothing but problems with this truck for the last month here is a list of problems in order

1.replaced transfer pump $750.00 (intank)
2.replaced vp44 $1683.00
3. replaced ctm $500
4. replaced vacuum pump seal
5. replaced tail shaft transmission seal $150.00
6. replaced actuator on air box $150.00

then the transmission is acting up around 35 mph with the torque converter locking and unlocking and all it BS

and the tps is not working properly some one said and they gave me a price just for the part alone and it was $504.00 for a sensor that is made in china that probably don't cost more than 39 cents to make
then on the way home my check gauges light came on and i had no voltage on the gauge it was all the way down below 8 volts not even registering on the gauge and i did the key on and off 3 times and got code 1682 (charging system too low) i guess the alternator is out now probably $1000.00 to fix this

all of these problems happened within a couple of days of one another i bet there is nobody else out there who has had worst luck on there truck than i have

what the (edit by admin)is going on with this POS

Go get the truck load tested to make sure the batteries are still good other wise you might be even madder when you find out it was your batteries.

the truck fires right up every time and the starter turns over very fast even when it is cold out side do you think that the batts may bad let me ask this could the transmission acting up have something to do with bad batt. or alternator going out

Yes...I am beginning to think you have the classic trans hunting problem...I sold my 01 before I could dive into that problem to deep. I almost bought the DTT noise filter I think it is worth a shot for the price.
the gear hunting around 35mph seems to be a very common problem with these year trucks.

bd retarder is the exhaust brake and bd torque lock is a 3 position toggle swich that in up position will fully lock up the TC no matter what gear it is in middle position is stock and that is what setting it is in now and down position is auto lock it is for every day driving. the BD Torque Lock is good for towing and keeping the transmission cool by being able to lock up the tc and it also makes it possible to use a exhaust brake on an automatic transmission

do you think what my transmission is doing is bad on it i really don't have the money to keep throwing away on this truck but especially don't have the money for another transmission if i knew all this was going to happen one right after another i would have traded it in for a new one i don't even think it is worth fixing because the way it is going if it ain't one thing its ten

just had the batts load tested and they both are good is there some way of checking the alternator? the morons at auto zone checked it and said there is something wrong with it because it was charging at 14.4 volts and dropped to 12.6 volts back and forth and i tried to explain that there are grid heaters that cycle back and forth and take a lot of power but the couldn't comprehend that. when i start the truck the gauge says it is way low but it will eventually kick back up and maintain. last night i got a check gauges light and looked at the gauges and the voltage gauge was all the way down then when i got home i restarted the tuck and the voltage was low but was registering. this morning it seems to work fine and it is cold out side i got a code 1682 (charging system too low) can some one help me out here? also transmission is acting up around 35mph with the torque converter locking and unlocking and is getting worse it is even locking up around 25mph going up a big hill just wondering if a alternator going out might create more electrical noise and cause the trans to act up being that its getting worse and not the charging system is acting up
