Just showed code P-1682, low voltage charge. I was driving and check gauges light come on and the voltage gauge displayed 0. Got home and shut it off and restarted and it slowly came back up to a little over 14 volts and then it started cycling like the grid heaters were coming on and off. First time I noticed that with a warm engine.
Where do I start looking first??????

 

I'd start by cleaning the battery terminals, and the alternator connections.

Thanks Phox, I have cleaned the battery terminals and it seems to be working the way it's suppose to. I will drive it tomorrow and see how it does and I will check the alt. terminals also.

Well I guess cleaning the battery terminals was the problem. The charging system is working fine now. Thanks much.
