No power-black smoke
Truck 2002, 6 speed, stock, starts fine and give it fuel, starts to fall on its face and lots of black smoke .4 codesp-0460, p-1693, p-0216, p-ecu.. Help now. stranded.. Thanks

P-0216 is a bad one, usually means the injection pump is on it's way out.
P-0460 points to the fuel level sender in the tank.
Neither of those usually leave black smoke as a symptom though.
Black smoke either too much fuel or not enough air.
Check the air filter, then look for loose or totally blown off turbo boots, then look at the turbo itself.

does it sounds like the turbo is spooling and can you hear a boost leak? have someone keep their head under the hood as you rev it and listen for a boost leak. do you have a boost gauge on the truck?

Thanks for the replies, I kinda figured on the pump or at least the lift pump. Bummer...... It does spool up and no gauges, and don't here any air leaks through all that noise. Eddie
