No more reverse...help

I had a goerenend transmission installed 6k ago, and today coming home the truck no longer shifts into reverse. When I put the truck in P, the truck is in park like normal but, when I place the truck in R the truck still rocks forward like it is in park and will not move. The shift in between P and "R" is really rough. In N the truck drives, but will not shift out of first. D, 2 and 1 act exactly like they should.

I checked the obvious things, tranny level was fine but had a smell of grinded metal to it, but the color of the fluid was good. I assume this smell was probably just from trying to shift between P and R, since its so rough right now.

I also checked the obvious connections to the transmission itself, cleaned and blew them out with air. My knowledge with transmissions is very limited, and the only number I have to try and call goerend with is the shop number. Right now I would not feel comfortable driving the truck, and this will really be an inconvience so I am hoping there is a simple fix or things to check to help identify the problem.

Thanks guys,
Alex
